Meet and greet

In the previous post you already have met a few of the Instructor Development Course (IDC) candidates. In this post we'll introduce you further more to this international company.

This stud of course you already know; our Ed who is always well prepared for everything he does. He takes his IDC very seriously and his slogan is as always 'safety first'.

We'll start from left to right: Bart, JP and Nedal. Bart from the Netherlands met Shu already last year during his "refresher course" with her. After that he had his Rescue Diver Course and Divemaster Course finalized at Buddha View and decided to become an instructor. J.P. from New Zealand works with his girlfriend in Buddha View's retail shop. This nice guy is also called the 'sympathetic kiwi'. Nedal is a quiet and friendly man from Germany. He does his IDC mostly in German, supported by Course Director Marco.

Italy is represented by Max. He is from Easy Divers dive center on Koh Tao. Because Easy Divers has no facilities for IDCs, he was happy to join the nice candidates of Buddha View's IDC.

This very charming man is called Ali. He is in the favorable position that, even before he has passed his exam, he already has been offered a job as an instructor in his native Turkey.

Obviously the U.S. can not stay behind in the row and AJ is the proud representative. He is the youngest of this whole bunch.

This very cheerful man may surely be; Wei from Shenzhen in China. Last month he completed his Dive Master Course at Buddha View and now he is having a lot of fun during his IDC.

And then the only woman among the IDC candidates, sweet Julia from Beijing. We have met her last year in the Philippines at Sierra Madre Divers already. Back then she didn't know yet that she wanted to become a professional diver. Therefor it was a pleasant surprise to meet Julia again on Koh Tao at Buddha View.

This is Course Director Marco from Switzerland. Less than a month ago he emigrated to Koh Tao with his wife and children to stay here for four years. Marco still knows Koh Tao from his past and with his English, German, French and Italian, he is a perfect partner for the current Course Director of Buddha View.

And then finally the English Course Director, Chris, who works for Easy Divers dive center on Koh Tao. Because Easy Divers has no facilities for IDCs, he came along with candidate Max and is responsible together with Marco for this month's IDC at Buddha View.
