Chinese women believe that a menstruating
woman must keep very quiet, not moving too much, stay far away from sports, and
certainly do not go swimming or diving. This thinking cuts in Shu's
wallet as a dive instructor, and soon Shu came up with a brilliant idea.
At a nice price - of course with profit for Shu - she sells these handy 'things' (for the Chinese this still remains a bit of a taboo) to the
Chinese customers. The explanation about the use of these 'best friends', is
therefore always hilarious. Well, the Chinese commercial spirit is hard to beat
in our Shu.
Shu went to various wholesalers in Kuala
Lumpur and Bangkok and bought some interesting merchandise at great low prices.
Arrived in Koh Tao it was only a matter of
putting the cotton items in the cute packaging pouches.
